On a day to day basis I sit on Pinterest and see all these beautiful places that I have never heard of and add them to my never ending travel bucket list, so here are 7 European cities I’d love to explore.
I follow so many travel accounts on Instagram, and whenever I see a picture of Slovenia it just makes me want to go more and more. The Julian Alps stretch from Italy to Slovenia, and has a little town called Bled situated within the Alps. Lake Bled is one of those destinations where you see a picture and you know immediately where it is (a bit like Lake Louise, Alberta)
Russia completely fascinates me. The size of it is so intimidating that I am just fascinated. St Petersburg is the Venice of Russia and I have seen and heard so many good things about this city. I recently learnt that St Petersburg was once the capital city of Russia up until 1918. The name of the Church below is, The Church of the Saviour On Spilled Blood (how fucking cool is that?! but yet slightly terrifying.)
Luxembourg is the 7th smallest country in Europe. The only thing I know about Luxembourg is that it’s super rich and had 130 castles, so you’re probably thinking why the hell do you want to go if you don’t know anything about it? Well for me that’s the whole point.
If you follow me on Pinterest you will know I have a not so secret crush on Croatia. Every travel pin on my profile is 80% Croatia. Zagreb, Split, and Dubrovnik are on the top of my list but the whole country looks incredible and very Instagramable.
I can’t believe I’ve never been to the Czech Republic, never even Prague. So when I came across a picture of Sedlec Ossuary I needed to know and go to wherever it was. The Ossuary contains bones of over 60,000 people displayed in weird and artistic ways (I mean, it is weird to think that’s really cool?) After doing some research on Kutna Hora so many travellers are saying it’s a city that you never thought about but need to visit.
For so long I have said I want to visit Poland, and I have no idea why I haven’t?! Although Krakow and Warsaw are probably the most popular cities in Poland, and I am still definitely going to visit those, but Gdansk and Poznan are high on the list.
There’s a girl I follow on Instagram that lives in Helsinki, that’s dedicated to posting images of the amazing city and I’m obsessed. It reminds me a little of Stockholm, Sweden but with a friendlier approach.
You’ve now seen my 7 European Cities I’d Love to Explore, now over to you – what are yours?
