Gift Guide for Fitness & Gym Lovers

On my way to and from work I walk past a local gym and was (still am) struggling with mental health and thought why not! I’m not going to lie, it took me a good few months to get in the swing of things and I did not have a clue what I was doing or how to use any of the machines. 2019 is the year i got into fitness.

So here we are a gift guide for the beginners, the no so beginners and the gym buffs.


For me when I’m at the gym, whether I be in a mood ‘just get it done mode’ or ‘I don’t feel comfortable mode’ my headphones are a god send. Especially if they are wireless, there is nothing worse than running on a treadmill or lifting weights the wire gets in the way.

Of course the AirPods are probably the most fashionable ones but there are other good ones out there such the Sony overhead ones and if you wanted in ear ones the 1More Bluetooth ones are also great.

Another great piece of tech equipment’s are tripods. Even if you’re not an instagrammer or blogger but filming yourself whilst working out just to make sure your form is correct if a great way to helping you along your journey.

Dry Shampoo

I tell you what dry shampoo is my best friend. I hate washing my hair, so I put it off at every opportunity. There are so great expensive brands out there but I personally just love Batiste. It’s so cheap and lasts ages, and if you go to Home Bargains you can get a giant bottle for £2.99.


I don’t mean a full blown running machine or squat racks. Resistance bands are a great accessory for any gym day whether it’s an upper body and leg day. Ankle Straps, barbell pads and foam rollers are also great equipment for any gym goers. B_ND (formally known as GraceFit) are sustainable, great quality and great prices!

Fitness Journal / Planner

A fitness journal or planner is great for keeping track of splits, weights used and so on. I know you could just by a note pad from wilko for £1 and be done with it but as someone who has tingles over stationary a nice cute planner is perfect.


Depending on whether your goal is to lose weight, tone up, gain muscle or just general health you will probably take some sort of supplements on your journey.

MyProtein and Women’s Best are the best companies I’ve tried and they always have great offers on. Protein is great for Muscle Growth and for also toning up. I have also tried the Pre Workout Powder that just gives you a little boost before and during your workout.

Gym wear

I have an unhealthy obsession with gym wear. No matter how crap I’m feeling, If I’m wearing good leggings and sports I will smash my workout. There are so many brands knocking about on social media such as Gymshark and Do You Even and don’t get me wrong some are so bloody expensive that I will only buy if there are offers or sales.

If it’s high quality and low prices, MyProtein and Womens Best are great but if you are not about the fast fashion life then Tala is fantastic new brand by Grace Beverly that is completely sustainable and she is smashing it.

If you have the fancy gym leggings then you are going to need a bag to put them in. Now for me, I just use any old tote bag lying around in my wardrobe but I know it’s nice to have a practical bag to fit everything in.

Itunes / Google Play Gift Cards

Gift cards are a great purchase for gym goers who use a fitness app to track their progress. There are many different apps such as My Fitness Pal, which allows you to track your calories but if you want more in-depth information then you have to pay for it.

Shreddy & Tone and Sculpt are great apps for helping you with workout splits. It’s like having a PT but on your phone. Both of these apps charge but only a small fee of £9.99 a month and having tried and tested both, they are fab to keep me motivated.
