When you live in the hustle and bustle of city life it’s so nice to get away from it all for a few days and forget about all the crap adult life brings so here’s is how we spent 48 hours in Pengenfford, Brecon Beacons. My boyfriend and I decided to have a little weekend getaway to Brecon beacons. Trawling through Airbnb as you do, we came across the Hobbit House. As both of us are avid fans of LOTR we thought, hell yeah! So if you are a fan of Lord of the Rings and always wanted to see/stay in a hobbit house, then this is for you. Although if you have in your mind it will be like Bag End, the home to Bilbo Baggins with a huge wooden fireplace and round door frames then you will be disappointed.
Last weekend I and a few friends spontaneously took a trip to Brecon Beacons, although our original plan was to climb Pen Y Fan, but the visibility up there would be 0%.
This series of Waterfalls can be found in Fforest Fawr, which is situated in Brecon Beacons National Park. To start, if you’re not a local then travelling by car would be the easiest option. There are 2 main spots to start this hike, also car parks situation around the National Park that will all link up to the route. The car parks do charge £4 and will only take coins, so don’t forget to take some change!
